The deductible determines much of your premium. Choosing it well can save you hundreds of francs a year, or cost you dearly.
A high deductible (up to CHF 2,500) sharply reduces the premium, but you pay more if you need care. Conversely, a low deductible (CHF 300) means a higher premium but protects you if you consult often.
Compare the annual premium difference between two deductibles with the deductible gap itself: if the premium saving exceeds the risk, the high deductible wins.
For children, the logic differs (lower premiums, deductible often at zero). We adjust the choice for each member of the household.
